100 Real Tweets from Homophobes Who Would Murder Their Gay Child

@Homophobes, a Twitter account that retweets homophobes to expose their ignorance, published a collection of 100 horrifying tweets where people said that they would murder their child if he or she was gay. These tweets were all posted within 24 hours.

On March 12, 2012, the hashtag #ToMyUnbornChild became a trending topic. People used this hashtag to “tweet to” their future child. Here are 100 real tweets from real people — all within 24 hours — saying they would murder their child if he or she was gay.

"Homosexuality can be found in more than 1500 species [of organisms] around the world, yet there’s only one that shows homophobia."

“However many are dead, Westboro Baptists will picket their funerals,” Fred Phelps said in a video posted on the group’s website. Phelps calls Giffords “an avid supporter of sin and baby killing,” and said she was shot for that “mischief.”

Phelps also said that “mouthy witch Sarah Palin” is a “cowardly brute” for taking down the crosshairs image that targeted the district of Giffords and 19 other members of Congress.

“The crosshairs to worry about are God’s, and he’s put you in his,” Phelps says in the video. Phelps said the Westboro Baptists pray for more shooters.

Given: These people are sick, twisted, attention seeking nut jobs.

But by reacting the way we do, which is completely understandable, is giving them what they want-attention.

“There really should be some sort of collective agreement among every media outlet on earth to never cover Phelps and his group under any circumstances. Stories about their uber-hate are Westboro’s oxygen and we should shut off the supply”

To the person who asked why this scene was removed: because of homophobes and conservatives flipping out when it was revealed this would be in the episode. SVU exes only made themselves look like homophobes by bowing to ridiculous pressure >.<

Michael: In fact, my family, you know, I was doing Six Feet Under and I was playing a gay character, and I, you know, had some love scenes that I did on that show and I’d go home and they’d be like “yeah, yeah, we’ve seen the show, we’ve seen the show, it’s good, it’s good”, and I got home after doing Dexter and people were just like jumping out of their skin. They’re like so much more comfortable with me killing people than kissing men.
